We had a great evening once again. To Peter & Pam, we enjoyed the fellowship with you guys and you're welcome any time.
Jennifah raised the discussion points of the evening being: a) Can we live 100% for God, putting everything into His kingdom and relying on Him to take care of our needs (Matt 6) or do we have to have a measure of balance, e.g. be "responsible" and b) When we are seeking our calling how do we avoid taking a wrong turn?
The distraction of our lifestyle is the one thing that actually stops people from being Kingdom builders. This is part of our upbringing and is totally acceptable by world standards and even expected. We are taught to build our kingdoms alongside building God's kingdom. We are therefore always making excuses which we justify and in so doing just prolong the process. When we open our eyes again so much time has passed that we become disappointed to the point that we no longer even want to entertain the idea that we can even be part of Kingdom building process. That almost sounds morbid so what ever you do don't allow the grass to you know what under your you know what. One doesn't want to look back on an empty past that was full of possibilities. Or at least I don't want to. The real question is where is our heart because that is where our treasure lies.
What could help get the Kingdom building process started is being part of a caravan of like minded people, a world christian prayer life, putting you're shoulder to the wheel and using your telescope of vision. All the things we learned in the World Perspectives Course. So join us at the KE fellowship for more on the caravan of like minded people and see what might happen.
Wrt finding our calling something that came up was that we should take little steps, hear God, trust and act on it. Apply your abilities and talents, then you will find your passion and somewhere in all that you will see the bigger picture.
