Willing to evangelise?

We started by looking for space for new trees and garden beds and enjoying the late afternoon breeze. Emotions are a bit mixed between happiness and sadness for Francoise birthday and the passing away of JP and Rita's youngest daughter Micaela. The Micaela story have impacted on many people and will continue to do so in future. Praise God for new chapters and writing the story.

Questions were raised during the discussion in the evening, and included:

When are you saved?
What are you saved from?
Does discipleship come after becoming a believer or do you need a certain amount of discipleship and teaching before making that decision?
Where does baptism fit in?
Do you have the tools to evangelise an unbeliever?
Are you willing to do so, knowing that afterwards a road of nurturing and discipling is required for the young believer?
Who is going to fulfill the role of discipling and healing?

I came thoroughly prepared to explain the evangelism process, but as you can see from the questions raised, no-one was really interested in that :(

That's one of the advantages/disadvantages of an organic get together....

Fellowship framework & logistics

Fellowship Frame work

1) To have close intimate fellowship that promotes being ‘real’ with each other.

2) To encourage focused prayer and quality time with the Lord.

3) To be a sounding board for plans, ideas, items of interest and tough issues.

4) To present mini teachings and facilitate serious contemporary discussions, to eat sacred cows and facilitate the ‘detox’ of toxic faith.

5) To discuss and plan actions that will assist the needy, the poor and the un-reached. (local & international)

6) To challenge each other to be ‘hands on’ in reaching out to those in point 5.

7) To give anyone opportunity to contribute by contacting the upcoming facilitator so as to arrange for the contribution to be included in the following week.

Roles of the facilitator, before & after the upcoming fellowship

# To arrange the updating of the Blog which includes announcing the persons responsible for the following week, a summary of events during the past get together as well as the contact details of the next facilitator. (this person needs to be appointed before the fellowship you facilitate starts).

# To prepare the program & consider any incoming suggestions/ contributions from other members during the week. (Please ensure you remain within the Guidelines).
